Registered is not the same as uncontested
Brand Registry tells you a brand can be defended. It does not tell you who is selling under it today — and those come apart more often than the paperwork suggests.
This is one page, on one question: every account we can see carrying the brand, its storefront, its registered owner, and how deep each one's carriage runs. Taken from Amazon's own offer data — so it is not the seller's word for anything, and you can check every line of it yourself.

Sole presenceOne account carries it, and that account is the brand's own. This is what a brand owner looks like from the outside.

Shared presence207 accounts carry it, 136 of them seen offering in the last month. A well-known brand that anyone may resell.

How often does it matter?
We sampled 100 Amazon brands across five categories and counted the accounts carrying each one:
Excluding national brands. So the answer on any given target is close to a coin flip — which is exactly why it is worth asking, and why a seller saying “I'm the only seller” is not an answer.
Method: rank-banded sampling, one seller census per brand, September 2026. The census sees an account's ten largest brands, so every count is a floor and 48% is an upper bound.
What this is not
- Not a recommendation on the deal. We report what the offer data shows and stop. Whether to proceed needs financials, legal and reputation — none of which is ours.
- Not proof of ownership. Sole presence is consistent with a brand owner. It is not the same as the trademark register, and it does not replace it.
- Not a valuation, a QoE, or full diligence. It is one question, answered well, early and cheaply.
- Not complete on a very broad reseller. Amazon's index returns an account's ten largest brands, so a wide catalogue comes back partly visible. We report what was measured and say so when something wasn't.
